"God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good." (Genesis 1:25)
Today I went to the Sunset Zoo with a few girls from my Bible study. As you can imagine, it was a tid bit chilly. It was a lot of fun, though! (And for JR...) We saw some spider monkeys and chimps that were inside a building. The spider monkeys were really cool. We also saw some cheetahs that were pacing back and forth and Becky was wearing a furry hat (see left in picture) and he probably thought she was an animal because when he walked by the glass he turned and jumped at her and showed his teeth. We saw some peacocks, emus, eagles, and some other birds/ducks, some snow leopards, a bobcat, some raccoons, a pelican, a bear (who was born in 1956 -- they usually live to only be 25 yrs. old!) and some other animals.

aww the zoo is so much fun :] i'm glad your friend didn't get eaten. too bad they don't have giraffes there! (and that is one OOOOOLD bear!)
