Uncontainable Joy

Blessed be your name
In the land that is plentiful
Where the streams of abundance flow
Blessed be your name

Blessed be your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed be your name

Every blessing you pour out,
I turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say...
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your glorious name

Blessed be your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's all as it should be
Blessed be your name

Blessed be your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be your name

Every blessing you pour out,
I turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say...
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be your glorious name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, Blessed be your name

I bolded the lines that stood out to me. Too often we forget about God when things are going well. We think it's something we've brought about on our own. Things are going well right now for me -- Praise God! It just feels like in these last few days he's just poured His blessings over me and I cannot contain my joy. My weekend was glorious, my birthday was incredible, and today, there was a nice surprise for me in the K-State Collegian's fourum:

To the girl swiping cards at Derby Monday night: Your smile brightens my day.

That's me. I was the girl swiping cards at Derby Monday night. Whoever called that in has no idea how much it means to me. Sometimes swiping cards isn't a ton of fun because people can be rude and unfriendly, but I still try to be nice.

Colossians 3:23 - Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.

Psalm 71:23 - My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praise to you—
I, whom you have redeemed.

Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Then all the people said "Amen" and "Praise the LORD."
1 Chronicles 16:36
